The eastern part of the island has been designated as the Dos Palmas Eco Zone (DPEZ), where all environmental programs and facilities of the resort are situated.
The resort has a comprehensive waste management facility. We’ve set up our own sewage treatment plant, to ensure that resort operations won’t hurt the environment. Treated water is used for watering the grounds and in our toilets; while the sludge from the treatment plant is used as fertilizer for our organic vegetable and herb gardens, and our plant nurseries and greenhouse.... |
